Bahareh Miri is a registered architect based in the Netherlands and the founder of B Design Studio. With a dual background in Architectural Design and Building Technology, she bridges the gap between architectural ambition and technical reality. Her approach is rooted in a simple belief that strong architecture comes from an understanding of how buildings are actually made, including how materials connect, weather, and perform over time.
Her work spans a diverse range of scales, from complex public infrastructure to modest cabins, tiny homes, and prefab structures. Regardless of size, Bahareh executes every project with the same precision and attention to detail. She aims to create practical, solid spaces that feel grounded, prioritizing sustainable materials and craftsmanship to create architecture that stands the test of time.
She holds a Master of Science in Building Technology from TU Delft, where her research explored adaptive façades. Her work examined the use of ultra-thin glass and responsive materials to develop breathing building envelopes, and was later published in Detail magazine.
Beyond the technical, her approach is guided by the atmosphere and feeling of a space. Bahareh draws inspiration from nature through observation, sketching, and hands-on exploration of places and materials. This direct engagement shapes her work, resulting in architecture that is clear, well-made, and expressive.
