Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran, Iran | 2014
Situated on the 4,500 m² campus of Shahid Beheshti University, this project by Bahareh proposes a dedicated residential complex for university professors. Developed for Design Studio 6, the concept organizes the site into three primary volumes anchored by a central lobby, which serves as the main circulation node and establishes a clear spatial hierarchy.
Bahareh’s design prioritizes the integration of indoor and outdoor spaces. Courtyards positioned between the central lobby and the residential wings provide visual connectivity and flood the interiors with natural light. The wings are strategically oriented to the east and west, allowing occupants to enjoy expansive, eye-catching scenery.
The complex accommodates 48 bedrooms, each featuring a private terrace overlooking the adjacent soccer field. This configuration creates a careful balance between individual privacy and a connection to the active landscape, resulting in a cohesive living environment defined by clear organization and strong visual relationships.
