Bahareh Miri

B Design Studio | 2025 – Present

Currently in the production phase, this project represents a hands-on exploration of compact living and mobile architecture. Bahareh is leading the complete transformation of a cargo van into a fully self-sufficient, off-grid dwelling, managing the project from initial layout to physical fabrication.

The design prioritizes a healthy indoor climate and sustainable materiality. Bahareh selected natural wool insulation for the building envelope, ensuring a "breathing" structure that regulates moisture and temperature naturally. The interior lining is crafted from birch plywood, chosen for its structural lightness, strength, and warm tactile aesthetic.

Spatially, the layout revolves around a custom-engineered wet cell module, fully integrating a shower and toilet within the compact footprint. This efficient zoning allows for a spacious kitchen and comfortable sleeping arrangement without compromising on essential amenities.

Technically, the vehicle is designed for autonomy with a roof-mounted solar array powering the electrical infrastructure. By executing the production herself, Bahareh ensures precise detailing and a deep understanding of how materials meet and perform in a mobile

The ongoing construction process and technical detailing are documented in a digital journal on Instagram: olovie_the_van.
